In the Class AA Donald DeMatteo Consolation Bowl at White Plains High School, Raider quarterback Brian Bauersfeld (5 of 17, 121 yards, TD, 96 yards rushing) ran for touchdowns of 58 and 17 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Will Hewitt (3 rec., 60 yards, TD). Hewitt was named Scarsdale’s most outstanding player of the game. Johan Drakes also scored on a 76-yard TD run for Scarsdale, which finished the season 7-2. Tom Nelson (3 rec., 98 yards) was named the most outstanding player of the game for North Rockland after catching a pair of touchdowns from Matt Lonergan (15 for 24, 202 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs). Nelson’s second TD catch came with 1:02 to play, but Scarsdale recovered the ensuing onside kick to secure the victory. The Red Raiders finished the season 3-6. The six losses are the most for North Rockland under head coach Joe Casarella, who took over the program in 1980.
